I'M BACK....BETTER THAN EVER :)

So, 2 years have gone by and I have not been in tune in a long time. Life has had me in a whirlwind, and it has been difficult to stay caught up with my ultimate passion....which is fashion of course. I have decided to refocus on where it all started and invest more time into making my dream become reality....So with all of that said I figure I need to catch you guys up as to what has been going on in my life. Ok,, so here it goes.. I am a Manager in Training at Finishline. I was offered my own store, declined on the offer, and am now awaiting a better opportunity. Working seems to be my life these days, along with personal development... If you read more you will see exactly what I mean.

Here are some random things that I have learned over the past 2 years..

A wise person once told me that the best time to look for a job is while you still have one. So, that is exactly what I'm doing. I am blessed to be where I am, and I am content, but I always think that you should be open to better opportunities, and better yourself every single chance that you get.  If money wasn't the supply to maintain the things that I have, I would totally travel the world, and do the things that I am sincerely passionate about. Until I marry a millionaire,(which btw. I am still single. lol)  or win the lottery, I am content with taking baby steps to accomplish the goals that are closest to my heart. I like to live by the quote, " don't follow your dreams, CHASE THEM". Every day that you are blessed to wake up is a new opportunity to do better than the day before. Don't worry today of tomorrows trouble. You are only one person, and as far as I know from my 22 years of existence there are still only 24 hrs in a day, so don't fret, and don't stress. Stay positive, open to change, and overall do what you best. Dream, have passion, be excited about life. We only have one life to live, so live it wisely and whole heartedly.....

Over that past 2 years I have learned that family is something that I sincerely cherish dearly. My personal relationship with the Lord is also something that I have learned to not take for granted. It is what encompasses who I am as a woman. Friendships come and go, but the people who take time to invest in you are the ones that you should hold close. Never take others for granted. Cherish each and every moment that you have with someone because you never know when the next moment could be gone.

So, I know this post is longer than all the rest, but I had 2 years of catching up to do. lol  You will hear from me more frequently as I am striving to have more of an online presence, and be more proactive with achieving my goals. I hope this post was inspiring to you, even if it was in the slightest way.

You will hear from me soon!

My 21st Birthday adventures and MUCH more!!!

So what's new with me???.....Well, I am working full time at JcPenny. I turned 21 on the 27th of July, and had a party extravaganza. My Birthday dress was immaculate It was multi colored sequence from top to bottom, and was fit like a glove. We danced and partied all night long. The week after my Birthday party I went to Las Vegas to celebrate with my good friend Kaitlin.  It was so much fun. I received VIP treatment the entire time. We were able to stay at the Monte Carlo Hotel, and shopped till we dropped. We did a lot of sight seeing at various Vegas strip hotels including The Venetian, The Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, The Flamingo, Harrah's, New York New York, MGM, The Paris Hotel, The Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Encore, Wynn, and many more. The clubs in Vegas were out of this world. The atmosphere and dancing were so upbeat, and crazy. I would go back to Vegas in a heart beat. This trip was my very first time flying. I was so anxious and excited, but surprisingly the experience was very pleasant.

All in all my life is going great. I'm single, ready to mingle, working , and enjoying the new me, while praising the Lord all the way through.

Until next time,
-Alyssa J.

What's been goin on?

So as you've probably noticed, I have not been on in quite some time. I would like to fill you in as to what has been going on. Well..... Long story short................................................................... I GRADUATED COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I now have my bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing.

I was offered a job at JcPenny as a Visual Specialist. I will be maintaining all visuals of the store; including mannequins, fixture displays, store layout, signage, etc. I am super pumped about this new transition in my life. Everything has gone by SO fast it's hard to stay caught up with it all.

My blog posts from this point on will highlight my every day life, including my career, hobbies, family, and random moments.

Maintaining a FASHION PERSPECITIVE in all my post will remain key.

I hope you guys stay tuned for more,

Until next time,
